Na série "The day was angry: NY" eu dou continuação ao meu trabalho "O dia se zangou" feito no Rio de Janeiro em 2013, mas ao invés de visitar as praias do Rio, eu visitei as praias de Brighton Beach e Coney Island em Nova Iorque. A série foi toda fotografada durante a tempestade de neve do dia 21 de janeiro de 2014, a terceira desse mesmo inverno e a maior desde fevereiro de 2013, com acúmulo aproximado de 22 a 35cm de neve. Esse trabalho segue a mesma lineariade estética de "O dia se zangou" fotografada no Rio, mostrando as praias, arredores e intervenções urbanas em meio ao mau clima, fazendo com que a praia não tenha a mesma alegria do verão.

In the series "The day was angry: NY" I follow up my work "O dia se zangou" made in Rio de Janeiro in 2013, but instead of visiting the beaches of Rio, I visited the beaches of Brighton Beach and Coney Island in New York. The series was all photographed during the winterstorm of January 21, 2014, the third of that winter and the strongest since February 2013, with approximately accumulation of 9 to 14 inches of snow. This work follows the same linear aesthetic of "The day got angry" photographed in Rio, showing the beaches, surroundings and urban interventions in bad weather, causing the beach to not have the same joy of summer.
